PCAW: "Six Days of Prostate Cancer" Campaign

The PCEC encourages not only yearly screenings, but also overall health awareness to lessen the risk of prostate cancer. In 2005, PCAW brought additional attention to the prevention and treatment of prostate cancer by dedicating six days of the week to a specific facet of mens health, directly relating to prostate cancer. The six days are:

  General Prostate Cancer Awareness
• Tuesday, September 18
  Advanced Prostate Cancer Awareness and Treatment
• Wednesday, September 19
  Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) Awareness
• Thursday, September 20
  Women, Family and Caregivers Day
Friday, September 21
Know Your Numbers (cholesterol, testosterone, obesity, nutrition)
• Saturday, September 22
  New Horizons Day
