For Our Fathers

The Prostate Cancer Education Council welcomes the opportunity to work with businesses and organizations that want to join or efforts to offer free and low-cost screenings, raise the awareness and education of prostate cancer and other men's health issues, and help to advance the treatment and detection of prostate cancer and analyze relationships between a variety of variables through research and data analysis.

Partnering with the Prostate Cancer Education Council is an excellent way for a business or organization to show support for men and their families battling this all-too-common and deadly disease.

We have identified several partnership opportunities below but also welcome new ideas. To discuss partnership opportunities, please contact us.

Prostate Cancer Awareness Week Follow Up Data Collection Card

During the national Prostate Cancer Awareness Week screening, follow up data collection cards will be given out to men participating in target screening sites. The follow up data card will include questions on BPH, Erectile Dysfunction, Biospy results and treatments. This card will allow for the collection of valuable data to be utilized for research and publications.

Prostate Cancer Awareness Week Screening Site Kits

Prostate Cancer Awareness Week screening sites are comprised of hospitals and physician practices. Each site will receive a Screening Kit, which contains screening guides, a media and public relations kit, banners, check in signs and a variety of brochures and educational information.

Prostate Cancer Awareness Week and Specialty Days

The Prostate Cancer Education Council encourages not only yearly screenings, but also overall health awareness to lessen the risk of prostate cancer. In 2005, PCAW will bring additional attention to the prevention and treatment of prostate cancer by dedicating five days of the week to a specific facet of men's health, directly relating to prostate cancer. These day's include: general prostate cancer awareness, advanced prostate cancer awareness, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) awareness, women and prostate cancer, and "Know Your Numbers"(cholesterol, testosterone, obesity, nutrition).

Prostate Cancer Awareness Week Toll Free Screening Site Locator

Men and women across the country can dial into our toll free screening site locator throughout August and September. By simply entering their zip code they are able to locate the Prostate Cancer Awareness Week screening sites nearest them. A sponsor name and message may be included and played as patients receive the requested information.

Patient Education/Information Updates

The Prostate Cancer Education Council is a national organization providing information to men and their families on prostate cancer awareness, education, and treatment options. PCEC would like to update these widely utilized and requested sources of information to include advanced prostate cancer, testosterone levels, cholesterol and other men's health issues. Information for these educational pieces will be collected through a collaboration of several well-known physicians. The booklets and brochures will then be circulated to doctor's offices and the public.

National Public Service Announcement

Through the directing, filming, and editing of a prostate cancer related video segment, we will have the ability to create a cohesive series of public service messages that educate the public on prostate cancer, men's health and related programs. The initial segment will be created for the airline industry, which will allow for a diversified message to reach and extremely large and demographically matched audience. The segment will also be utilized for several :30 and :60 second public service announcements distributed nationally. Finally the segment will be used to create a patient education piece for viewing in physician offices.

Tackle Prostate Cancer Program

The Prostate Cancer Education Council has successfully increased the awareness and education of prostate cancer in a variety of demographics. The Tackle Prostate Cancer campaign has proven crucial to these efforts. By utilizing our National Football League Team partners we are able to reach a variety of men in a demographically matched arena. The Tackle Prostate Cancer program is customizable to match the needs of our sponsors.

National PACE Race Series 5k Run Walk

The national PACE (Prostate Awareness and Cancer Education) Race Series is designed as an awareness event that continues to grow and expand. Providing awareness and education to men and their families on prostate cancer and treatments is the focus of this opportunity. There are a large variety of programs affiliated with the PACE Race series including: patient stories, ask your doctor booths, teams, race day booths and many more. The PACE Race is an excellent opportunity to bring innovative programs to your company.
